We accomplish our mission by:

-
Finding fosters and adopters in more populated/metropolitan areas
-
Providing spay/neuter assistance
-
Network with rescue partners nationally in order to save a higher quantity of animals more rapidly than we can find fosters and adopters for locally
-
Providing education within communities and schools

RAREGEMClub
There are many ways to donate, but becoming a recurring donor as part of our RARE GEM Club helps to cover the cost of food, shelter, and care for our animals each month. Each gemstone tier signifies a unique level of support, but you can also create your own customizable monthly tier!

As a member of the RARE GEM Club, your donation will help dogs and cats in the following ways:

-
Heartworm Care: Essie, a chocolate lab, tested positive during her six-month retest—a critical step for detecting delayed infections. Her treatment costs $460, and RARE covers this for all positive retests.

-
Monthly Animal Care: Food, vaccines, preventatives, and supplies cost $50–$150 per dog and $20–$80 per cat each month.

-
Senior & Special Needs: Extra care like surgeries, dentals, and follow-ups for seniors and injured animals are vital but costly.

-
Returns: Although rare, most times returned pets arrive without vet care, and RARE covers these expenses to ensure their safety.

-
Rescue Transport: Fueling our van for rural rescues, cruelty cases, and adoptions costs $150+ weekly.

-
Food: Feeding rescues costs $250+ weekly. Donate kibble via Nature’s Select or our Amazon and Chewy wish lists.

Every dollar saves lives. Thank you for supporting RARE!
