Cuddles, a 11 year old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix, was surrendered to a rural animal control facility that we partner with. His person had passed away and the family was not able to care for him.
Cuddles was overweight and had several rotten teeth and dental disease. We knew that he would not likely receive the care that he needed if we didn’t accept him into our program. He needed a dental and rather large lipoma (fatty cyst) removed in addition to a few other small masses.
Cuddles was a sweet boy for the most part but did have some quirks. He was very sensitive about being groomed or handled at all if he wasn’t in the mood and was willing to bite if he was pushed to far, so he would need a patient and understanding Adopter.
After his medical treatment was preformed and a few months in foster care, we finally received an application from a wonderful couple who had experience with a sensitive dog like Cuddles before that had recently passed away. Cuddles joined their family in early December and has been smitten ever since!
