Crowley came to us this summer when his owner’s daughter reached out to us as a Hail Mary - Crowley had days before he was set to be euthanized.
His elderly owner had dementia and could no longer care for herself, or for Crowley. He had landed at a boarding facility and with no long-term solution in sight, his time was up.
Thankfully, a foster said “yes!” and he has been with them ever since! He was overweight and we suspect he had been kept in a crate most of the time. His fosters helped him lose 20 lbs (!!!) and learn to love life! When people see him, they can’t believe he is 8 years old - he has so much life in his eyes and spring in his step.
Unfortunately, in the time that he’s been with RARE, he has had little to no adoption interest. His foster parents will be traveling soon and his time with them is running out. We would love to find him his forever home ASAP!
Crowley LOVES people. He loves to snuggle on the couch and get and about and accompany his fosters to restaurants and errands. He does great on a leash and loves to go on walks. He does well on walks with other dogs, but he needs to be an only dog in the home.
He is fully house trained and crate trained (he does GREAT in a crate!) and is an absolute gentleman. He’s a dream because he’s a mellow guy who knows how to chill and relax, but also enjoys adventures. Curious to learn more about Crowley?
