It's only January and we already have FIVE dogs undergoing heartworm treatment. Rocky, Celeste, Red, Blizzard, and Cotton all tested positive for heartworms—but thanks to our program, they have started treatment and now have a fighting chance. While we’re grateful they found their way to us in time, it’s heartbreaking knowing that heartworm disease is 100% preventable.
With monthly prevention costing under $20/month (less than a daily cup of coffee!), it’s frustrating to see dogs suffer needlessly. Now, these five pups must endure a costly, painful, and lengthy treatment process—something that could have been avoided with simple prevention.
💰 Treatment costs us $400+ per dog (far below the standard $1,500-$2,000 at most vets), but with multiple dogs in need, these expenses add up fast.
